Gatsby, the movie, is out in theaters this Friday! The Gatsby style is becoming extremely popular in the wedding market, so check out this Gatsby inspired cake that we just LOVE! We love all of the details...the gold icing, rhinestone accents, and not to mention the pearls! Beautiful! We also love the signs on the couples' chairs!

This combination of colors is being seen more and more often in recent weddings, as brides and grooms try to add pops of color to their wedding decor. This couple just LOVES their Rice Krispie Treats, so instead of a traditional icing on their cake, they covered theirs in sheets of the treats! The simple fruit garnish and lavender "ribbon" ensure that the Krispie Treats stand out as the star of the show!

Earth Day is coming up on Monday, so to recognize this eco-friendly day, check out these "green" wedding favors! These adorable favors double as guest place cards! Treat Tuesday: Delicious Dress!

 

Our Bride knew exactly what she wanted her wedding cake to look like. The cake designer was extremely detailed and followed the photos she was given incredibly! The bride had seen a similar cake in a wedding magazine, and wanted to use the same idea for hers...the cake was an exact replica of her wedding gown! The cake designer did a great job with all of the small details, such as the ruffles, swags and rhinestone brooches. It was also the Bride's birthday, so her family surprised her with a smaller cake in the couple's colors, blue and white, and all of the guests sang "Happy Birthday!"

Treat Tuesday: Rachel & Matt's Sweets & Treats!

Rachel & Matt had a modern and elegant wedding cake that was accented with silver ribbons and white roses...it was a beautful focal point placed directly behind the Sweetheart Table, with pink and purple rose petals and glowing candles surrounding the cake. The Bride & Groom each received an individual mini cake of their own!

    

The sweets & treats didn't stop there! As a special thank you to their guests, Rachel and Matt had a display with homemade cookies and treats made from their families' recipes. Treat bags were placed on each end of the table, to allow guests to fill a bag to take home with them. In addition to the cookie bar, there was a cupcake table to add to the sweetness! The guests absolutely loved the creative touches the couple added to their wedding day!

Floral Friday: Black Magic Roses

Black Magic roses were used throughout Natalie & John's wedding ceremony and reception. The Bride's bouquet was full of these deep, dark red roses and was accented with crystals. Red rose petals lined the ceremony aisle, and two large arrangements were placed at the altar, which added a pop of color to the room. Once in the reception, guests were seated at tables draped in black satin linen, with a tall centerpiece of Black Magic roses placed at the center of each. Even the couple's cake was topped with an arrangement of these beautiful flowers!

What's more lovely than a colorful dessert bar offering a variety of sweets and treats to wedding guests? Dessert and candy bars are a great idea to add a little fun to your reception. Mix and match glass and ceramic platters, jars and vases to create differing heights and an eye-catching display! Tie the candy bar into your favors by placing to-go bags for your guests to fill and take home with them! We love these which we found on Etsy.

It's St. Patty's Day weekend, so today's floral Friday is all about good luck and the color green! This bouquet is a mix of beautiful flowers in varying shades of green and ivory, topped off with a gold wire four-leaf clover! What special accents will you be using for your big day?

Floral Friday: Something Blue

This Bride had a passion for the color blue. The Bridesmaids dresses were blue, the centerpieces were blue, and even her shoes were blue! This beautiful bouquet from Windermere Flowers & Gifts featured soft white roses accented with beautiful blue hydrangea and tied with a white sheer ribbon. This bouquet was simple and pretty, with just a little "something blue!"
